Why do Jehovah’s Witnesses disapprove of birthdays and not wedding Rings?
Correct me if im wrong, but a major reason JW’s don’t celebrate birthdays, is because of their pagan origins. If this is so, then why do JW’s accept Wedding Rings, originating from paganism, as well as the cutting of the cake during the wedding by both bride and groom? What justifies one pagan practice, while the other one is condemned?

Are diamond cluster Engagement Rings still in style?
While I love the glassy look of emerald cuts and baguettes. I’m not that crazy about Diamonds to be honest. I wear lots of different color jewelry. So a color stone is out of the question.
I prefer diamonds as accents and broken up as clusters over a single larger stone. So that’s why I’m thinking a diamond cluster or eternity band. I want something elegant and classy. Any other setting suggestions?
Cluster Engagement Rings are certainly still in fashion but now are mostly called the Right Hand Rings. Becuse a cluster looks more like a cocktail ring than an engagemen ring.
Currently the halo 9single or double row of diamonds outline the center diamond) look is very popular. Eternity Bands have always been very elegant and timeless so if you have the choice go with an eternity.

Need an Engagement Ring! Is there someone/someplace that sells Rings like Cathy Waterman’s but less expensive?
My boyfriend has been talking engagement for a while. Im super excited and up until now my taste in rings has been on the cheap side (lucky for him) BUT I found Cathy Waterman’s website and fell in love with her vintage/medieval style rings. I know we’d prefer to spend that money on something for the both of us like the honey moon and im not the type of girl that throws a fit if i dont get what i want. I was hoping someone could help me find a similar style ring that wouldn’t make a dent in his wallet. I like silver or white gold for a base as well as pearls and sapphires. I def believe less is more so my style is very minimalistic.

Does titanium look like palladium?
My Engagement Ring is going to be palladium, but we want our bands to possibly be titanium due to our budget. Will the titanium band match my palladium ring? I want both to have a polished finish. Can anyone show me photos?

The casting and polishing of the metals will have a great impact on the way they look. Generally speaking the Palladium will be slightly whiter and the Titanium have slightly more luster.
No photograph will do justice to the looks of the metals. Go to a large jewelry store and ask to look at Palladium and Titanium Rings. Look at these next to one another.
The Palladium and Titanium will also look different as they age. Palladium will get a patina over time, but it can be polished to avoid this.
The difference in hardness between the two metals might be a problem. The Palladium will have a Mohr’s hardness of about 4.75 while the Titanium’s hardness will be very close to 6.0. It is possible for the edge of the Titanium Ring to scratch the Palladium.

I have recently purchased a gold ring with diamond settings and want to know its true value?
I bought it from a trader at a market, it must have been a Wedding Band because it has the inscription of;
i promise to love you now and forever,this ring is the circle that binds us together. There are 12 tiny Diamonds set in the ring which is 9ct gold with silver diamond shapes around the centre. It should of cost £99 sterling but i managed to only pay £85 sterling. Now i wish to know if if was worth it!!?? Any one know how i go about this without expensive jewelers.?
Most jewellers will offer two kinds of valuation. One for selling purposes, which is a quick look over, and they’ll give you a price.
Then there’s the insurance valuation. Because you get official documentation and a certificate with this they charge. The last time I had something valued, it was a flat fee of £18 or £20 + 5% of the value, although if it was found to be over £600 the flat fee went up to £25 (I think)
